Ebenezer and Lydia had six children:
  • Benjamin Hall, born in 1760 in Middleton-by-Wirksworth

  • Ebenezer Hall, born in 1765 in Middleton-by-Wirksworth
  • John Hall, born in 1769 in Middleton-by-Wirksworth, married Ann Goodall (born Apr 1771 in Wirksworth, died May 1811 in Middleton-by-Wirksworth) on 10th September 1792
  • Joshua Hall, born in 1774 in Middleton-by-Wirksworth, died 1776 in Middleton-by-Wirksworth

Ebenezer's entry in the Wirksworth marriage register records that he was a 'miner' and it is likely that he was the Ebenezer Hall who was a member of the Barmote Court jury who met which met on 18th March 1783:

"We the underwritten jurors summoned and duly sworn by Mr. Adam Simpson, Barmaster for the Liberty of Middleton in the Wapentake aforesaid to enquire into the death of the late Gamaliel Hall -- Do by the strictest enquiry upon oath find his death to be Accidentall, by falling down a turn in the Goodluck Mine in the Liberty and Wapentake aforesaid and do order his Hiers or executors to give the said Barmaster six shillings and eight pence and the deceased's upper garment as witness out hands."

Gamliel Hall would have been Ebenezer's first cousin.
