| I have spent many hours tramping through overgrown and often wet churchyards searching for the tombs of my ancestors and their collateral relatives. Sometimes persistence has been rewarded, at other times all I have got are wet feet, insect bites and a photograph of the church. Here are snapshots of a selection of the churches visited, family members are buried in the churchyards of some of these parishes, many of the graves have so far eluded detection but records of family baptisms, marriages and burials are recorded in the parish registers.
